  • Journalists from across the Arab world have the opportunity to participate in a new online training course on investigative journalism, offered by the Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Center, in cooperation with the International Center for Journalists.

    The course will be held from April 30 to June 10, 2012 and is open to Arab journalists working in print, broadcast and online journalism.

  • Join a select group of journalists throughout the world in a new online seminar sharing insights, resources and strategies for reporting on religious minorities throughout the world.

    “ Covering Minority Religions," a six-week seminar offered by the International Center for Journalists from May 14 to June 24, will critically examine effective ways of reporting on this unique beat.

  • The International Center for Journalists is offering an online course on the use of digital tools in public service reporting, which will be held from March 15 to April 25.

    The online course is the first part of a program that will bring together professional and citizen journalists with civil society actors from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, West Bank/Gaza and Yemen. The six-week online course will guide 60 participants from these countries to work on ideas for multimedia public service journalism projects.

  • Journalists from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka are invited to apply to a new training program that aims to connect journalists in the region on joint reporting projects that will explore cross-border issues of importance, while also training them in responsible practices in the digital age. The program, run by the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and sponsored by the U.S. State Department, has two main components.

  • The deadline has been extended only for journalists from Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan and Yemen

    The International Center for Journalists is offering an online course on use of digital tools in public service reporting, which will be held from September 19 to October 30.

    The online course is the first part of a program that will bring together journalists, citizen journalists and civil society actors from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, West Bank/Gaza, and Yemen. The six- week online course will guide 60 participants from the above mentioned countries to work on ideas for multimedia public service journalism projects.

  • Course on covering state in transition for Egyptian journalists and citizen journalists The International Center for Journalists ICFJ) is offering an online course for Egyptian citizen and professional journalists on the coverage of a state in transition and nascent government institutions with an emphasis on using digital tools. The course will be held from September 5 to October 17. Last day to apply is August 20.

  • Journalists from Turkey and Armenia have the opportunity to participate in a new online training course on investigative journalism.

    The course will be held from July 5 to August 1 and is open to Turkish and Armenian journalists working in print, broadcast and online journalism.

  • The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is offering two online courses in English and Spanish on covering personal finance. The courses are for Hispanic journalists and US journalists covering finance issues for minority and immigrant communities. They will run July 1, to August 12, 2011. Deadline to apply is June 6.

  • Egyptian citizen journalists are invited to apply for an online course, entitled “Building News Websites” from April 25 to June 5. Deadline to apply is April 18.

    During the course, participants will learn how to use free tools available for journalists to build news websites from scratch; how to manage the editorial agenda of a news website; adding multimedia content; building and promoting a news website domain; knowing the audience and much more.
